Circulation Pumps
There are many pumps on the market, low voltage DC pumps powered
by a solar panel or just a 120 volt AC circulating pump often
used in a central heating system and they have a low power consumption.
My favorite is the 120 volt grundfos circulating pump (about $160.00)
and it uses about 80 watts which is about $20.00 in electricity
a year running for 6 hours a day.
This kind of pump is available at your local hardware store, and
I think is a better deal than an expensive low voltage pump powered
by a solar panel.
If you live in a frost free zone, you don’t need a pump
if you use a solar panel with integrated storage tank (see
picture)
